Pre and Post Conference Activities


This year may be called the Year of the Lake  Võrtsjärv, which will culminate with the conference "Our Lake Võrtsjärv" on May 12, 2011.

Prior to the conference Theme Days at Schools and Communities will take place, and questionnaires about the lake will be sent out in advance. Summaries of the interviews will be revealed during the Conference.

In addition, students drawing competition "My Võrtsjärv" will be carried out, and the souvenir contest "Lake Souvenir 2011" will be organized.

 Sustainable Lake Walking Oriented Tourismin Europe" roundtable will be organized for Tourism experts in  May 11, 2011. Moderator of the roundtable is Marion Hammerl, the President of the Global Nature Fund and the Executive Director of the Lake Constance Foundation, Germany. The event will be held in English.

Whose participants of the conference who want to learn more about the lake area, we offer extra Fieldundefined Trips in May 11 and May 13.
